I tried face painting for the first time this year. I posted pictures in the order I tried them: We Happy Few My first try was with nothing but grease-paint…and a really frayed brush. I know that I could make … Continue reading
I made this sign for a meal train sign up table.
- Foam board-white, sprayed with chalkboard paint. You can also use black foam board.
- Fabric tape
- Chalkboard markers
I used the chalk to trace over the letters I wanted on the board and then filled them in with the markers. So print your type, turn the chalk on its side and cover the back of the paper with chalk, flip it over and trace the letters with a pen, remove the paper and then trace letter with chalk marker. Clean up chalk dust.
Here is a different way to finish the edges of your twine letters. Using a hot glue gun dab a dot of glue in the center. Place the twine on the glue and let it dry for a second. … Continue reading
I LOVE GAMES!! Board games, video games, card games, drinking games, drinking board/card/video games 😉 That being said I am not an expert. I just know what I like and enjoy. It is just like music for me; if I hear a … Continue reading
OK just to go down memory lane. Each picture links to more pictures from that post!
I have been gone from my blog because I have been too busy dreaming and making memories! oh and I graduated college and got a job. So the boring, responsible STUFF has been in the way as well.
I started this new journal where I do nothing but write down the things that I daydream about, the things I dream about, and the things I have nightmares about. It allows me as an artist to keep track of all the great things my mind creates that typically get lost. I use it most often after finishing a book series or after waking up from a crazy dream. The weird part is that I actually enjoy reading what I wrote later.
Recently I picked up the Splintered series and I am hooked. WOW! I thought my imagination was crazy, this book creates creatures and landscapes I could never dream up on my own. It is the absolute perfect book. It has the creepy, dark side and of course the LOVE STORY (which always wins my heart). Yes, I love the ‘LOVE’ in this book….but the world that the author (A.G. Howard) created is what makes me crazy for this series. I envy the author for her ability to create such madness! She is my muse and after reading this series I MUST paint, paint, and paint some more! So much creepTASTIC inspiration! Click the image below to go to her page!
I created a calender for the next 30 days.
It includes two 30 day challenges; Ab Challenge and Squats. It also includes the couch to 5k.
The Ab Challenge starts on DAY 5 because the first 4 days were just too simple for me. The 5K started on Week 3 for the same reason. Here is my personal Calendar that I started YESTERDAY!
Here is a calendar I made for anyone that wants to try out all three challenges just like I did. It starts from Day 1, Week 1 for each challenge!
IT STARTS ON A TUESDAY because I thought you would want to get started right after Memorial day weekend!! Your Welcome!
This is by far not the healthiest meal ever, but it is delicious and a great summer meal.

My dreams these days are migrating towards a healthier lifestyle. This post is just an amateur post about living healthy and what I have learned in the last couple months.
Staying motivated and enjoying the work out is what will help you accomplish that lifestyle change.
My recommendation is to Print this out and hang it on your wall!
Steps 6-8 are the most difficult for me.
I change things a little with the second interval. I do 30 second mountain climbers and then do another 1 minute step ups. I also change the push ups by doing as many as I can and then I do a 30 second plank. If you replace an exercise make sure you are replacing it with an equivalent. For instance do not replace mountain climbers with crunches. The mountain climbers are there to get your heart pumping. I hate cardio as much as the next (possibly more) but it is an important part of your exercise routine. You need it to help you lose your fat.
It is also important to give yourself a break. Take 30 second breaks before moving onto the next exercise and make sure you take a day off. I need a day off or I get worn out and give up. I do this routine M-W-F and run Tuesday and Thursday. I leave the weekend open because I typically make plans. If I am around the house I will still do light work outs like 25 sit ups or 50 jumping jacks.
I listen to Beyonce when I work out. I start my workout with her “Move Your Body” video as a warm up. It is a cute little dance video that is pretty easy to follow along with. The playlist is a little over 43 minutes total. It is also a great way for me to keep track of how long my work out has been. I know if I hit the “Countdown” video I am just about done for a 20 minute workout. If I fell up to it, I keep going.
In case you are interested in my Beyonce playlist here you go!
